Genuine, practical counselling built on trust, straight talk, and tools you can actually use in real life.
Geoff Upston
I believe counselling should feel clear, safe and grounded in real life. When you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, under pressure or unsure how to move forward, it can be hard to know where to start. Counselling gives you a private, supportive space to slow things down, talk openly, and make sense of what’s happening — without judgement or unnecessary jargon.
My approach is practical, honest and collaborative. I work alongside you to understand what you’re experiencing, identify what may be keeping you stuck, and build strategies that support meaningful change in everyday life.
This isn’t about vague advice or talking in circles. It’s about helping you find clarity, build confidence, and leave sessions with tools you can actually use.

What you can expect
A genuine, down-to-earth counselling approach built around honest conversation, trust and respect.
We won't only talk about what feels difficult — we work towards practical steps, clearer thinking and meaningful progress.
A private counselling space where you can speak openly, feel heard, and work through things at your own pace.
Strong counselling relationships start with trust, empathy and genuine understanding. You'll be met as a person, not a problem to be fixed.
I aim to keep counselling simple, clear and supportive, so you know what to expect and can move steadily towards a way forward.
Reach out, ask a question, or book a consult call. This first step is about seeing whether counselling feels like the right fit for you.
We explore your situation, what has been happening, what feels difficult, and what you'd like life to look like moving forward.
Using practical, evidence-informed approaches, we develop tools and strategies tailored to your needs, values and goals.
The aim is to help you build clarity, confidence and practical ways to manage life more effectively outside of sessions.
